Seattle is quite hilly. The community is very outdoorsy overall, and there are plenty of bikers in the city. Everyone is aware of them. But every biker in Seattle will tell you that the city’s geography is often the biggest problem because of all the hills. I overhear people talk about alternate paths and approaches to routes daily like it’s a science.
I don’t ride a bike myself, but I would find a Seattle biker’s online forum and ask your question there. You should get a good variety of responses.
Because I will be moving to Seattle, and I definitely will be taking my bikes with me.
What’s the bike scene like over there? I’ve never been over to the west coast, or really anything west of the east coast. I’ll be in Seattle in September for a week, so I’ll be able to really scope out the land, and everything else.
But I want to know what me and my bikes will be getting into in Seattle. I can’t wait.
